Collecting Gorse Flower Seed

Collecting small gorse plants

The Wildflower Hub collects Jersey wildflower seeds and plants from Jersey to encourage people to grow local native wildflowers and not import wildflower seed. Our task will be digging up small gorse plants so that the Wildflower Hub can harvest the gorse flower seeds.

Where and when to meet: Plemont, upper car par near the 2 giant puffins @ 09:30 – 12:30

What to wear: Keep an eye on the weather forecast and dress appropriately. Waterproofs may be required.

What to bring: No equipment necessary, all will be provided. However, if you do have your own leather gloves then please do bring those.
